Just a quick one, my SLR of doom took a nose dive today thanks to my Dads dumbass dog who knocked over the tripod it was on. The info lcd display that shows all the camera's exposure and shutter speed settings has had it. So atm aside from auto mode its useless.

Will call Canon repair agent on Monday is if it can be repaired.

Fingers crossed it can, and wont cost more then the camera cost me..

*sobs*

So big news today for those who didnt hear I got a Digital SLR!! Wooo a lovingly cared for Cannon 10D. I was fortunate enough to know someone who knew someone (Skyalin <3). Who put me in touch with the owner of this camera of doooom.

So with my trusty tomtom in hand I headed out to pick it up. No hassles there at all.. I get it home and start to fiddle! My initial thought was "No problem, I will be able to figure this out and start taking sweet pics! So I started taking pics of random stuff on my desk... and for the life of me couldnt figure out how to stop the flash from going off lmao. So an msn to Skyalin got that figured out. But I thought it best to have a bit of a read of the instructions to get started.

After a bit of a read I got the general jist of what was what. Though i think to get the fully pro style photos I have been seeing of late on a couple of deviants from my watch list I have a lot to learn.

Anywho, I am happy as larry.. Having a blast fiddling around with it.. I will post a few of my pics from today up. Have a check out and tell me what you think!!

Right so only a quick update. Sadly no pics as yet.. But I just put my first coat of resin on my Ironman helmet.. Once dried I will do the first lot of fiberglassing on the inside too! The process was easier then I thought thankfully
